Mansfield Divorce Lawyer Discusses Being Deposed for Divorce

Question:

Do I have to accept the fact that my husband wants me to be deposed for divorce?  Can the legal fees involved charged by my attorney be paid by him as he has requested this deposition?

Answer:

Either party made to depose the other party it any time during divorce litigation provided they have not missed the discovery deadline. I advise clients as a Mansfield Divorce Lawyer that each parties responsible for his or her own attorneys fees unless the court otherwise orders. You would generally be responsible for your own attorneys fees unless there was a reason that your spouse was required to pay them.
